| the only words in english
within a 2 km radius. for once in koh samui, the taxi driver actually
provided some useful information, the location of this restaurant. |
| and here it is, completely
empty of course. obtaining service requires a bit of searching (for someone
who works here!). and lots of hand motions.
| one of koh samui's beaches
viewed from the table i ate at. the beaches were ok, but it definitely
pales in comparison to the 808 state!
oh god, i can't believe i just called it that.
| another picture of the beach
taken while large ants crawled across my plate and up my leg. |
| the anteater, mumbles, whatever
you want to call him . . . |
| another boring beach shot. |
| this restaurant is exactly
the kind where you do not eat the ice cubes! the menu was also
entirely in thai by the way so i had no idea what the hell to order.
| i crushed a rather large ant with
my glass while i was eating. thus, everytime i took a drink of water, i
got to look at a large smooshed ant on the bottom of my glass. nice! |
| when asked about shrimp, this
guy indicated with his hands that they were small. well, it turns
out he was talking about the diameter! |
| 0.5kg of shrimp @ 500 baht. that
was really expensive considering we were in thailand and all four
of the other dishes totalled less than 400. |
| easily the best fish i ate
during my trip. soaked in lime, chili, and garlic, then cooked. it was
amazing. |
| the air was reasonable here, much
unlike bangkok where a thick layer of smog covers the city. it's quite
disgusting. you thought la was bad? muahahaha!!! |
| waiting around to get hussled
by the next taxi. |
| to the right. |
| to the left. |
