logout: the sterilization of 533 soda

after wandering across campus to sproul in heavy rain, i returned with free candy and, oh, one of these.
an enormous amount of brain power, my dissertation committee: david culler, christos papadimitriou, and hal varian.
my office is like the boston garden for berkeley cs phds. the banners have since been torn down (alanm, dusseau, schauser, sethg, stevel, tve) but now there is another.
the next graduate student who inherits this monitor will likely be sending me some hate mail. time to hack my .procmailrc!
my desk in 533 soda hall minus the wall of red bulls
how to stay up and hide the effects.
dj d (now dj denise) gave me a sticker once, and now phil is obsessed with her. ho ho ho . . .
queen amidala, hard at work on the whiteboard.
miscellaneous things behind my desk, including a moby cd before he starting whining about animal rights and actually *singing* (*dread*).
my cache of ethernet cables and probably $123.41 (yes, exactly) worth of change from shopping at le petit market.
random boxes collected from the shady corners of soda hall to store miscellaneous items obtained from miscellaneous places.
typing at *173.4 wpm* burns through a lot of keyboards over the years. i think i should be in the guinness book of world records or something -- or, better yet, the tv show!
jen mankoff moved in next door to me shortly before i left for caltech. here, we see her dog demi frolicking around outside my office.
and now, reflecting back on the many adventures she's had in her life.
and now, staring me down as if she wanted to leap through the 0.00241 inches of tamper-resitent glass shielding me from the outside world and eat my head off. ok, maybe not.
machines, slowly disappearing, much to the delight of eric fraser (specifically, the dell poweredge 2300) and co.
tearing down the wall of flyers. no matter, there will be more.
more of that.
and even more.
ah . . . moonshine. *sigh* dg, carl cox, and christopher lawrence played some amazing sets that night.
not a college dorm room.
an early photomosaic by the master himself, robert silvers.
bnc has left the building.
