cream pie? no! how about an adult sea nettle with 18" long poisonous tentacles in your face!! if only we'd had this jellyfish handy while driving through seaside . . .
outside the aquarium waiting for a great white shark to prey on helpless sea otters while a busload of fourth graders on a field trip watch in horror. ok -- maybe not.

the view from our room at the grandview inn. note the skillful omission of ocean view blvd in web site's photos. on the other hand, ocean view blvd is prominently labeled on the map, so no real surprises there.
sample benefits: ocean view, refreshing sea breeze, friendly staff, and free stuff including unlimited apple chips, fruits, bottled water, breakfast, tea, and milk and cookies. another benefit: no phone, no tv!!
this bed was over the top.
after failing to find pacific's edge restaurant while whipping the turns and passing multiple cars as needed on the 17-mile drive at 60mph, we decided to eat in pacific grove instead.
12 hours later: breakfast.
outside the grand view inn.
the neighboring seven gables inn.
our transportation in front of a house owned by a pacific groverian who is obsessed with the color pink.
