post turkey: scrabble at the albatross.

a relaxing atmosphere, a good selection of beers, and a wide assortment of games (pool, darts, various board games) makes the albatross a place that i would come back to.
matt welsh and fred wong greeting me upon my arrival. they wanted to play scrabble.
and so we did. an official scrabble dictionary was not on hand and thus i was banned from using a large part of my extensive collection of 2 and 3 letter words. damn!
matt welsh and fred wong doing permutations and planning a move. they formed one of the four teams. note the free popcorn!
had this not been an abbreviated outing, we would have tried more of these. we definitely have to come back!
some people take a really long time to move. you know who you are!
and when the smoke cleared...
these were the scores. brent "caffeine vertigo" chun: 174, matt "get in my belly" welsh and fred "green stuff" wong: 138, phil "es waster" buonadonna and eric "i hate sounds" fraser: 117, albert "invisible" goto: 70.
outside the albatross. matt taking a smoke break while albert tries to be invisible.
