our research booth upon upon arrival at supercomputing '99.
our equipment was actually delivered on time for once. the union, surprisingly, didn't harass us at all this year.
random wires and things.
beginnings of a real booth.
sc99 rat's nest. connectivity was good throughout the conference.
niinomi-san hanging out at the ucb millennium booth and giving us the inside scoop on the japanese nightlife.
hori-san posing in front of rwcp's score cluster i.
hp's over-the-top booth.
this was completely ridiculous. booths like this scare me.
sgi's booth was scaled down significantly from last year. perhaps this is why.
the marketroid manning the booth wouldn't let me do anything on this e10k. a few seconds longer and he probably would've ripped the mouse from my hand. i had fun harassing him though!
a global shot of the sun booth. too bad their dorky uniforms aren't visible.
another shot before the opening day. note the lack of carpet. sound familiar? :)
how clever is this!
drinking with miscellaneous people at the conference. the guy across the table looks like he wants to kill me.
the free cups they handed out at the door came in handy. filled to the top with merlot.
